I couldn't get the postcode to work on the Smart version (missing API key), but I love the video at the start, and the fact that the result is in an expanded panel.

So many expandable ads these days just have repeated content in the expanded panel (when media leads instead of creative in many cases). I love to see rich media benefits used creatively and intuitively. Good show!

    Nice one.
I think I still prefer this one :)

Hmmm... this one doesn't do it for me compared to the smart version (http://www.bannerblog.com.au/2009/10/smart_maps...)

Told me my postcode was invalid, doesn't make it outside the UK and lacks personality. I like how it works but the smart version just felt a lot more personalised and on-brand.

Typing in my old postcode of SW11 shows me this ‘impressive’ map of how far I can travel (see below). About ½ a millimeter on this map by the looks of things.

Did no-one think that they should be using ‘how far can you travel on one tank rather than one gallon?’. It’s a bit like saying… ‘How far can you run on one breath of air… ½ metre’. It doesn’t sound very good.

Also… at the very least, they might have considered using a map on a larger scale to make the distance look further!!!

VW's drive to Geneva on one tank was a far more compelling proposition.

Understand where they're going with this but the jury is still out for me on G-maps integration into spaces this small.
