Bannerblog: Ford: ECOnetic Wheels

I love the way this banner "feels". Seems very tactile when you interact, and this is something which is often overlooked. I don't feel that it really rewards me, if there was some kind of result from spinning them at a different speed, or in a different direction (there must be bags of file size left to do this) then I'd feel better about interacting.

That said. I'm walking away knowing EXACTLY what the product does, and at the end of the day that's all it needs to do.

    Sentiments exactly. Well done overall.

Wish the tires would spin a little faster and continue spinning if I flicked hard, but all in all, well done.

Solid call to action, as well.

@Tom: the wheels actually spin both ways if you want, and you can control the speed by dragging and releasing the cursor.

@blackant, I had realised that you could spin them both ways, which is why it feels so nice to play with :)

What I was saying was that the payoff could have differed depending on which way you spun them (e.g. if the CTA was lowered in from the top or lifted up from the bottom to conclude the banner) that way it would feel that you were actually achieving something by interacting.

i like how simply it executes the idea of an economic system, but I agree Tom, I don't feel it rewards me either. this would be a great execution for a small size banner.
